Well, flist. I did it. It took two weeks, multiple confused stares from various friends/airport security guards and more than one headache but I did it. Yay!

I want to get your updates. My flist is uber talented and I do not like missing out on that talent.

I've been bitten by the bug, people. I'm addicted to fic exchanges. I submitted my springtime_gen fic today. (thank you gestaltrose for the beta job!) I also volunteered to be a pinch hitter, should they so happen to need me. Then I had to physically restrain myself from signing up for the hp_summergen exchange. But I don't think the restraint is gonna last. We all know that by the week's end I'll be dutifully filling out my little form thingy. Que sera sera. At least they're fun. And motivational. Deadlines are very motivational.

It's almost spring break (thank God) so I'll be doing some serious reading soon. And by "serious" I mean "fluff." The rest of the quote fics are on the top of my list and then all the lovely work of my lovely flist. I'd start naming names, but then we'd be here all night and I've an essay to write.

*pout* School sucks. Always making me work, that's just not cool. :(

Returning to fandom concerns, though, I'm somewhat worried about the fic I just submitted. It's focused on Luna (yay!) but I didn't treat her quite the way she's usually treated by the fandom. In my fic, she's not all-knowing and she's not the one saying exactly the right thing (however odd it may be) to save everyone around her. Instead, she's the one who's being saved. Well, sorta. I mean, she's still Luna so she's not some dumb damsel in distress. I dunno. I like it, but we shall see. I hope my recipient (sp?) likes it.

I've felt very removed from the fandom lately. I'm still here, of course, but life's been too crazy for me to keep up with all the amazing authors and writing something of my own has really been out of the question. That's about to change. I finally have some free time and the only plans I have for tonight involve Harry Potter.

I've planned out a few story arcs for my 100quills table and should have at least one drabble up soon. Then I've got a few ideas percolating about my moviequote fic, so I'll get started on that in a little bit. Throughout all this, I'll be catching up on fics and I'll try my best to leave reviews on everything I read. I've gotten really lazy about that and I'm starting to feel a bit guilty. You all know you're wonderful, though, right? 'Cause you are.

CM chat tomorrow! Anyone else excited? I love that I get to squeeze one in before returning to school. An excellent end to the holidays, don't you think?

Random question: I've suddenly decided I must have some HP quote icons. I'm going to go trolling through the various icon communities in search of them, but if you've got a batch or know of a batch or could point me in the direction of a batch, I'd love you forever. Or at least like you a whole lot for a number of years. *puppy dog eyes*
